The Baxter County Clerk’s office reported Tuesday evening that county-wide ballots cast clocked in at a strong 858 for the first day of early voting. This represents all races from Mountain Home’s school board and millage to Norfork’s school board race.
The Clerk’s office also reported voter turnout currently at 2.8%.
For the Mountain Home school district in Baxter County there are 24,116 registered voters while in Marion County there are 699 voters in their portion of Mountain Home’s school district.
In Norfork, there are 2,833 registered voters.
Early voting will continue this week and the following Monday at the Baxter County Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Election day is Tuesday, May 9.
