The City of Mountain Home has announced a major evolution in its summer entertainment lineup. The Baxter Summer Concert Series is transforming into ArkanFest, a three-day festival running June 12-14 that promises to deliver “bigger acts, better vibes, and the same FREE experience.”
Country music star Joe Nichols has been confirmed as the first headliner for the inaugural ArkanFest. The Arkansas native brings an impressive musical résumé to the event.
Nichols, born in Rogers, Arkansas in 1976, has built a successful career spanning more than two decades. He has released nine studio albums and charted over 14 Top 40 singles on the Billboard country charts. His five Number One hits include “Brokenheartsville,” “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” “Gimmie That Girl,” “Sunny and 75,” and the RIAA GOLD-certified “Yeah.”
The festival is supported by several local organizations, including the City of Mountain Home Mayor’s Office, Frontier Events, Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Norfork Lake Fun, and the Baker District.
More information about additional performers and festival activities is expected to be released soon.
