Arvest Bank and Genuine Care Pharmacy, co-sponsors of the 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament in North Central Arkansas, are accepting nomination letters to recommend nonprofit organizations in Baxter, Boone and Marion counties for consideration as a 2022 Charity of the Year.
Every year, Arvest Bank associates choose up to three local charities that will share 100 percent of the proceeds from the golf tournament. The deadline to submit nominations is March 31.
The Charity of the Year program was created to provide supplemental financial support to local non-profit organizations. Since it began, the program has contributed more than $243,000 to local charities.
“Nonprofit organizations within our communities are often a lifeline, and sometimes a last hope, for individuals and families,” said Mike Willard, president and CEO of Arvest Bank in North Central Arkansas. “They demonstrate unwavering support for our community in trying times, and now it’s our turn to support them and those whom they serve.”
Charities of the year are selected based on past, present and future financial needs, along with other criteria. To qualify, charities must be designated as an IRS 501(c)(3) organization and must submit a letter to the committee explaining why their organization should be selected. Nomination letters may be mailed to: Arvest Bank Charity Committee, Attn: Jaren Beavers, P.O. Box 325, Yellville, AR, 72687, or they may be emailed to [email protected]
Details of the charity golf tournament will be announced at a later date. Sponsorship opportunities at varying levels are available and may be secured by calling 870-449-7164 or emailing [email protected]
