Arkansas State University-Mountain Home is asking the community to help shape its next 30 years.
The college will hold its 30th Commencement ceremony Saturday, capping a year of anniversary events with the formal launch of a $2.5 million fundraising campaign called Unlocking The Future.
“At ASUMH, we know that education changes lives, not only through degrees and certificates, but often through a single class, a new skill, or one encouraging moment that helps a student believe in their future,” the college said in a campaign announcement.
Gifts to the campaign will fund five academic areas: health care, manufacturing and trades, education, computer information systems, and arts and sciences. The money will support innovation and excellence grants, program development and enhancement, and investments in faculty and staff.
“These resources will ensure that ASUMH faculty and staff have the tools, resources, and support they need to lead transformative teaching, launch new initiatives, and drive community-responsive programs for years to come,” the college said.
The campaign offers three giving levels.
The Anniversary Leadership Circle calls for a one-time gift of $30,000 or a three-year pledge of $10,000 per year. The Anniversary Partner level is a one-time gift of $3,000 or a three-year commitment of $83.33 per month. The Anniversary Friend level is a one-time gift of $360 or a one-year commitment of $30 per month.
Saturday’s commencement marks the 30th class to walk across the ASUMH stage since the college opened its doors. Graduates will move into careers as nurses, educators, business owners, welders, technicians and first responders.
“Some arrived with a clear path, while others discovered their purpose here,” the college said. “No matter where their journey began, each student who walks through our doors carries the potential to create a lasting impact, and ASUMH is honored to be a part of that transformation.”
The college framed the campaign as a continuation of the anniversary year rather than a closing chapter.
“Milestones like our 30th Anniversary are not just about looking back, they are about building forward, together,” the announcement said. “Every gift of any size creates opportunity. It opens doors, removes barriers, and changes lives.”
