The Art Odyssey starts September 29 and runs through October 1 in artists’ studios throughout Baxter and Marion Counties. Twenty-five local artists will be a part of the tour this year. A sneak peek exhibit of the artists’ work is on display at the Baxter County Library now. Tour guides are also available now at the Library, area Chamber of Commerce locations, and a variety of businesses in the Twin Lakes Area.
The 11th annual Art Odyssey Tour invites art-lovers to experience the scenic Arkansas Ozarks and visit with artists inside their studios as they open their doors and showcase their work. The Art Odyssey Studio Tour brings artists and art enthusiasts together. See and feel workspaces where creativity thrives as painters, sculptors, wood turners, carvers, fiber artists, potters, photographers, mosaic artists, mixed media artists, and more create before your eyes.
The artists’ studios are spread out across Baxter and Marion counties and form a nice loop running from Yellville up to Flippin, Cotter, Gassville, and Salesville, with some artists at the heart of downtown Mountain Home. If you do not think that you can fit 25 studio tours into one day, The Art Odyssey runs three days, and all 25 artists will be available for tours on all three days from 10am-5pm.
