Baxter County Treasurer Jenay Mize released tax numbers to media and county officials on Thursday, March 23.
“March sales tax is for the month of January sales but we are up this year over this month last year by 11.3% and over projections at 2% YTD,” said Mize in an email statement.
Mize concluded that sales tax is ‘holding steady’. Baxter County distributed $243,775.17 to the City of Mountain Home and $41,262.57 to the City of Gassville for March.
