The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is looking to hire two new Animal Control Wardens for the county. The job posting can be found below.
POSITION: Animal Control Warden (Two Full Time Positions)

STARTING WAGE: $17.00 per hour with all county benefits.
The Animal Control Warden is responsible for care and maintenance of dogs and cats that have been seized by Baxter County officials under authority the Arkansas Animal Cruelty Act and applicable Baxter County Ordinances. These animals will be housed at the Baxter County Animal Shelter. The Animal Control Warden will be responsible for feeding and watering these animals, as well as cleaning the pens and maintenance of the facility, and also participating in efforts to arrange for the adoption of the animals to the extent possible.
The Animal Control Warden will also be responsible for responding to calls within Baxter County (outside of the City of Mountain Home) to pick up dogs and cats that have been seized under authority of law. This will include picking up vicious dogs under certain circumstances.
These are full time positions. Shifts will be 12 hours in duration. The positions will be under the supervision of the patrol division sergeant on duty.
