Jo Hadra, a registered nurse at the Baxter Health Cardiac Diagnostic Testing Center, has been honored with a Heroes with Halos Award following a patient’s nomination praising her kindness and care.
Hadra was presented the award by Anthony Reed, vice president of ancillary services; Tobias Pugsley, vice president of marketing and communications; Lynda Frazier, CDTC director; and members of the CDTC staff.
“Thank you for everything you did for us,” the donor wrote in the nomination. “We appreciate you and your kindness we received.”
The Heroes with Hajos program, administered through the Baxter Health Foundation, allows patients and their families to honor physicians, employees, volunteers and departments by making a tax-deductible gift of any amount. Nominations can be submitted online, by phone at (870) 508-1770, or through printed forms available in patient rooms, waiting areas and community clinics throughout the Baxter Health system.
When the foundation receives a donation, it arranges a recognition ceremony at which the honoree is presented a certificate by the Baxter Health president and CEO or a member of senior leadership. Each recipient also receives a badge holder bearing the Heroes with Halos logo.
Nurses honored through the program are automatically entered into consideration for The Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses, with two winners selected quarterly from patient nominations.
