Dr. Jacob Carter has received a Heroes with Halos Award from Baxter Health after a patient nominated him for the care he provided during two hospital stays.
Members of the intensive care unit staff presented the award.
“Dr. Carter continued the legacy of exceptional care, listening attentively to my specific health challenges, explaining procedures clearly and providing timely updates to ease my anxiety and ensure I was fully informed,” the patient wrote in the nomination.
The Heroes with Halos program, run through the Baxter Health Foundation, lets patients and families honor a physician, employee, volunteer or department with a tax-deductible gift of any amount. Honorees receive a certificate and a badge holder with the program’s logo, and nurses who are nominated are automatically considered for the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
Nominations can be submitted online at baxterhealth.org/heroes or by calling the foundation office at 870-508-1770.
