While Baxter County and the rest of Arkansas may have needed it, the rain has brought some pain with it on Monday.
Baxter County OEM and local school districts throughout the county reported flooding and road closures throughout the county, prompting delays in students arriving at school.
Marion and Fulton counties also saw heavy flooding in some areas. Big Spring Park in Cotter got much needed, but heavy dose of rainfall on Monday morning.
ASU-Mountain Home reported that its walking trails were submerged on Monday. Dodd Creek, which runs alongside the trail at ASUMH has seen heavy erosion this year, with local students tracking two feet of creek bed loss this year alone during the Friends of the Norfork and White Rivers annual Dodd Creak Stream Team event last week.
In addition to ASUMH, Mountain Home High School saw flooding on campus Monday morning, as did Guy Berry College and Career Academy.

Staff at the school district were making do with fans, mops and lots of buckets.
Both MHHS and Guy Berry are due for new roofs. While the Big Top over MHHS won’t be getting replaced any time soon, Mountain Home Superintendent Allyson Dewey said that Guy Berry was set to receive a new roof sometime next year.
November has seen roughly seven inches of rainfall and is currently just shy of the seven and a half inches that fell during August, September, and October. Additional rain is expected throughout today.
