Mountain Home Public Schools Superintendent Allyson Dewey delivered her weekly Bomber update last Friday spotlighting one of the district’s career and technical student organizations: FFA.
“More than 40 members and chaperones from our local FFA program recently attended the 96th annual national FFA conference in Indianapolis,” said Dewey. “Ranking gold and placing 10th in the nation was the agro-business management career development event team.”
The team was composed of four students.
“This event involves students applying economic principles and concepts in analyzing farm and ranch business management decisions. We had dozens of other students place in events throughout the week. We had two students who received their American FFA degree, which is a great honor. Our chapter was also named a national two-star chapter. This is a testament to the dedication of our staff, students and community members, who have poured into that organization for many years.”
