Buffalo National River Partners will hold its annual upper river cleanup from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 13.
The location will be announced closer to the date. Volunteers will be notified of the meeting site and any weather-related changes once details are finalized.
A local concessionaire will provide a limited number of canoes on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers may also bring their own canoes or kayaks.
Buffalo National River Partners will supply trash bags, gloves and snacks. Volunteers should bring their own lunch, drinks and any tools they expect to use. Shovels, grabbers and loppers are recommended.
Registration is available at bnrpartners.org/sign-ups. The organization asks volunteers to indicate in the message field whether they will bring their own canoe or kayak and whether they have a floating partner. Partner names should be included on the registration form.
Volunteers are asked to log their hours at bnrpartners.org/volunteers after the event.
