City of Mountain Home: Fireworks prohibited in city limits

With the Fourth of July right around the corner, the City of Mountain Home would like to remind you that the sale or discharge of fireworks inside the city limits of Mountain Home are prohibited.

A permit can be obtained for discharge of fireworks through the Mountain Home Fire Department. Permits will only be issued to a duly certified pyrotechnics technician. Applications must be made five days prior to the event. Baxter County does not have any ordinance or regulations that restrict the use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of the county.

Firework shows in the area are as follows:

  • Lake Norfork, July 3rd
  • Bull Shoals Lake, July 4th

We hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday weekend! Happy Fourth of July!
