Alma L. Clark, City of Mountain Home’s director of finance and treasury, released sales tax numbers for the month of March.
“These would be reflections of January 2023 sales,” added Clark in an email message to media and council members.
For the city sales tax, the total collected is $523,297.25. Last year’s numbers were at $477,245.06, an increase of $46,052.19, which is a 9.6496% increase for the month.
Year to date total increase is $104,014.01, which is a 6.5140% increase.
For Mountain Home’s percentage of county sales tax the total collected is $243,755.17. Last year was $218,937.70, up $24,817.47, which is an 11.3354% increase for the month. Year to date total increase is $37,143.54, which is a 5.0280% increase.
The total collected for the Public Safety Sales Tax is $196,236.47. Last year was $178,966.90, and increase of $8,757.45, which is a 9.6496% increase for the month. Year to date increase is $38,992.25, which is a 6.5118% increase.
$261,648.63 was collected for the Park Improvement Sales Tax. This is $41,258.63 more than needed for Bond Payment of $220,390 – actual payment amount.
A total of $130,824.31 was collected this month for the parks operations sales tax.
