Allyson Dewey, Superintendent of Mountain Home Public Schools, will host a “Drop In With Dewey” feedback session on Friday, August 25 from 8:30-3:30 p.m. at the district’s administration office.
This event will be similar in nature to the Walk-In Wednesday events that Dr. Jake Long hosted when he was district superintendent. During these sessions, which Dewey plans to host throughout the school year, she will be available for community feedback and questions.
Dewey currently plans to host these events on the evenings of open house and parent-teacher conferences as well as the last Friday of each month. The district will announce times and dates for each event as they arise.
While any school-related topic is welcomed at this event, she said she is particularly interested in discussing the current LEARNS Act and how it will impact the district. “I would love to discuss or answer questions people may have about LEARNS,” she said. “There are still a number of unknowns about the way this piece of legislation applies to our district, but I have been really encouraged to see that we are already doing many of the things that LEARNS will mandate.”
The district’s administration office is located at 2465 Rodeo Drive. For those who cannot attend but wish to visit with Dewey, she can be reached at [email protected].
