Donnie Huffine is announcing his plans to run for the position of Justice of the Peace representing District 3 on the Baxter County Quorum Court.
I am running for this position because I believe in service to my community. I believe in working hard to achieve goals that will improve the lives of those who live and work in District 3 as well as all of Baxter County. I have always been a team player. I am no stranger to hard work and making difficult decisions.
Before I retired, I was on someone’s payroll since the age of eight. I started out as a paper boy, delivering a daily newspaper to the folks in my community. I have been a shop manager with 120 employees and five supervisors, with an annual budget of over 25 million dollars, so I know how to manage the needs of employees and how to spend money efficiently. I ended my career as a manufacturing engineer with a skill set for getting jobs done and goals accomplished.
My wife Glenda and I have been married for 48 years. We have three daughters and three granddaughters, so I am well aware of the struggles of working people trying to support a family.
If elected, I look forward to working with the County Judge, elected county officials, and members of the Quorum Court. My goal is to provide a safe and prosperous working environment for all county employees as well as apply my skill sets to properly maintain the assets, roads, bridges, and equipment of Baxter County.
If you want a hard-working, qualified individual as District 3, Justice of the Peace, I would appreciate your support.
