Dr. Michele Godfrey, an emergency room physician at Baxter Health, has received a Heroes with Halos award.
The recognition came after a patient wrote to the hospital about care received during two hospital stays. The patient credited Godfrey with listening closely to their symptoms and running thorough evaluations.
“Dr. Godfrey was exceptional in listening to all my symptoms and performing thorough evaluations without dismissing any concerns,” the patient wrote.
Presenting the award were President and CEO Ron Peterson, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Rachel Gilbert, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Debbie Henry, Vice President and General Counsel Nicole Vaccarella, Emergency Room Director Kelly Dicks, Dr. Caleb Pingel and Baxter Health Foundation Executive Director Sarah Edwards. Members of the emergency room staff also took part.
