Fulton County Hospital Foundation awards three scholarships

Fulton County Hospital Foundation awarded $500 scholarships to three local students pursuing a career in the medical field.

Kristyn Roberts works at Fulton County Hospital and is pursuing an associate’s degree in healthcare professions.

Abbigayle Rouse graduated from Thayer High School in May. She will attend Ouachita Baptist University in the fall to study nursing.

Tessa Smith graduated from Mammoth Spring High School in May. She will attend Arkansas State University in the fall to study nursing.

Applications for next year’s scholarship program will be available through high school counselor’s offices in April.

In addition to scholarships, the foundation raises funds for the hospital. Donations may be mailed to FCHF; P.O. Box 7; Salem, AR 72576.

Community members formed Fulton County Hospital Foundation in June 2007 to advance the health and overall well-being services provided by Fulton County Hospital for the residents of Fulton, Sharp and Izard counties. The foundation’s board consists of concerned citizens who volunteer their time and efforts to raise funds for the hospital.
