The Baxter County Historical & Genealogical Society has canceled its Tuesday meeting due to hazardous road conditions from last week’s winter storm.
Flippin native Cindy Wood Young had been scheduled to discuss her memoir “Growing Up Flippin” at 6 p.m. in the Knox Room of the Baxter County Library.
Young, a child of the 1960s, wrote the book based on newspaper columns she penned in 2022 and 2023 about her early years in the Marion County community. Before retiring and returning to Flippin, she spent her career traveling the world for an apparel manufacturer, enforcing social compliance standards in countries including Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, China and Cambodia.
