It’s officially Christmas time in Mountain Home!
First Security Bank and the Chamber of Commerce successfully hosted a jam-packed Mountain Home-Town Christmas Festival Friday evening that saw hundreds of families descend on downtown Mountain Home for the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony and parade.
This year’s festival was fishing-themed and brought out its fair share of boating-inspired Christmas floats during the annual parade.
“We had so many amazing floats last night, and the judges had a very difficult time choosing the winners,” said Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce President Dani Pugsley.
The win for this year’s best parade float belongs to float partners Perfect Catch Marine and First Community Bank. Second place went to Next Powered by NAEC and third place went to Home Depot.
In addition to the parade floats, the Chamber’s annual Christmas parade had a good showing from Mountain Home Public School’s NJROTC program, as well as strong performances from both bands from Mountain Home’s Junior High and High School. Cotter High School also put on a great performance during the parade.
