A group of Lake Forest Senior Living residents spent a beautiful Tuesday fishing at the river, trading stories and laughter by the water. The group reeled in two fish, which set off plenty of joking about who was brave enough to kiss the catch.
Residents thanked staff members Brandon and Lee, who organized the outing and made the day possible.
The trip also had an out-of-state guest. As part of the home’s “Collect Postcards from All 50 States” challenge, residents in Corydon, Iowa, sent a postcard along with a special visitor named Liberty Lou. They asked that Liberty Lou take part in an activity that represents life in the area.
Fishing was an easy pick, given the region’s rivers and lakes. Liberty Lou joined the residents at the water for the catches, the scenery and the laughs. The home plans to send photos back to Iowa to show how Liberty Lou got a taste of Arkansas.
