In 1967, I was asked to help create a junior high in Mountain Home that was made possible by the construction of a brand new high school. I can still remember after 56 years the excitement and pride in our community that we had raised the bar for other schools to follow. Since that time, Mountain Home has been recognized for excellence in both the state and region.
Our hospital is outstanding. With the total support of the community, our university is also highly recognized. Additionally, our recreational facilities and support of tourism are exemplary. After 56 years, it is time to support our public schools and bring them back to the quality expected in Mountain Home!
My wife Lucretia and I sincerely hope that every resident in the Mountain Home school district will support this millage proposal on Tuesday, May 9 by voting YES for the future of our students.
