The Baxter County Library will hold a beginner class on the design program Canva at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17. The session is part of the library’s Tech Time series and is aimed at adults. It covers making graphics, flyers and similar projects.
Canva is a free online design tool that runs in a web browser, so there is nothing to download or install. It works from ready-made templates that users drag, drop and edit, which lets someone build a flyer or a social media post without any design training. The company offers a free version along with paid upgrades.
Registration is required and closes at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. Sign up at BaxLib.org/Events.
Anyone who finds the class full can join the waitlist. Registrants who cannot attend are asked to cancel early so a waitlist spot opens up. People on the waitlist should check their email the day of the class in case of a late cancellation.
