Little T’s Mini Golf has pushed its Lighting the Way to Foster Care tournament to Sunday, Oct. 25, after consulting with The Call in Baxter and Fulton Counties, the course announced on social media.
The tournament is the second half of Little T’s annual fall fundraiser for The Call, which recruits and supports foster families in the two counties. It follows the course’s painted pumpkin contest, now in its fifth year, which ran through Oct. 2 with winners set to be announced Oct. 4.
Entries in the pumpkin contest were decorated artificial pumpkins dropped off at Little T’s in September, with the public voting at $1 a vote or 10 votes for $5.
The fundraiser has grown since owner Scott Tavegia started the pumpkin contest in 2022, when more than 55 pumpkins came in and the effort raised nearly $4,000. The 2024 event raised $1,191 more than the $3,400 brought in the year before, even with fewer pumpkins and teams.
At the time of the 2024 event, The Call oversaw 26 homes caring for 41 children and teens across Baxter and Fulton counties.
Little T’s is on Highway 5 in Mountain Home. Scott and Brandi Tavegia bought the former All About Fun course in 2022 and named it for their son Andrew. The course can be reached at 870-701-3066.
