The Mountain Home Public School Board met in a special session at noon yesterday to tackle a clerical error in the school district’s proposed expenditure budget which was approved earlier in the month.
The proposed budget had previously listed the district’s general maintenance and operation millage as 25.00 mils. That number was incorrect. The correct millage should have been 25.29 mills.
Yesterday’s school board meeting updated the millage to reflect its accurate value. This change did not affect the district’s overall millage of 32.16 mills. No millage increase was approved by voters. Mountain Home’s school district millage is set to remain the same as it was last year.
