Yellville and several nearby towns can watch military aircraft pass overhead Thursday morning. The Arkansas National Guard is scheduled to fly over Yellville between 9 and 10 a.m. July 2 as part of Fly Over Arkansas, a statewide celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday.
Marshall, Leslie and Clinton share that same 9 to 10 a.m. window. Harrison, Berryville and Eureka Springs follow from 10 to 11 a.m.
The flyover began June 29 and reached dozens of cities across Arkansas over four days. Mountain Home’s turn came Wednesday, when aircraft passed over the city around midday.
Each listed time is a window rather than an exact moment. Residents should watch the sky through the full period for their town.
The Arkansas National Guard encourages residents to gather safely, wave American flags and take photos and videos. Officials ask people to share their images online using the hashtag #FlyOverArkansas.
