The Mountain Home Junior High trap team finished third out of 24 teams at the First Community Bank Trap Tournament hosted by Independence County Shooting Sports on March 28.
The squad of Benson Hopper, Case Hardin, Luke Hopper, Wyatt Bourg and Austin Still posted a combined score of 200. Westside Junior High claimed first place with a 202, followed by Cedar Ridge with a 201.
Hardin turned in a standout individual performance, shooting 44 out of 50 to tie for High Male honors in a four-way tie. William Huntsman of Bald Knob won the title after a shootout.

The team earned a $150 cash prize for its third-place finish.
