Mountain Home NJROTC dropped a Week 7 match to Kaiser High School of Honolulu, Hawaii, 1004.9 to 954.9 in the 2026 National Air Rifle New Shooter League, moving the unit to 3-3 on the season.
Both squads fielded first-year competitors in the three-position match, with each athlete firing 30 shots across kneeling, prone, and standing stages.
Kalem Warford led Mountain Home with a score of 250.7. Bryan Williams, Aldyn Buterbaugh, and Jaden Major also competed for the unit, which is coached by Jason Williams. Mountain Home entered the match ranked 22nd in the league and now sits at 23rd.
Kaiser, coached by James Olson, improved to 4-1 and rose to 17th in the standings. Zoe Glazer paced the Hawaii squad with a 281.8. Chloe Lau, Alexander Lee, and Logan Coloma rounded out the Kaiser lineup.
Kaiser built a 15.7-point lead through the kneeling stage, extended it to 32.0 after the prone segment, and pulled away in the standing position to finish with a 50-point margin.
Mountain Home will look to rebound next week against Smiths Station MCJROTC, which carries a 3-2 record. The league’s regular season runs 10 weeks.
