Mountain Home Public Schools (MHPS) may be getting five new all-electric school buses paid for by an Arkansas state grant for $1.875 million, or $375,000 per bus. The catch? The district must scrap and destroy five operating diesel buses and fork out the cash for the charging stations which will set the district back by about $150,000 if they want all five electric buses . . .
