Mountain Home High School’s Class of 2027 will get to paint personalized designs on their parking spots this summer in a fundraiser for the school’s parent-teacher organization. Students can reserve a spot for $40. The money goes to the Mountain Home PTO to support teachers during the school year.
The event runs across two afternoons in the main high school parking lot. Students can prepare their spots on July 18 and paint them on July 25. Both sessions run from 1 to 5 p.m.
Food trucks will be on site during the July 25 paint day. Heart of the Ozarks BBQ & Sweets is scheduled to serve.
Students supply their own materials. Only water-based latex paint is allowed, and oil-based and spray paints are not permitted. Designs must be school-appropriate.
A few other rules apply. Each spot number must stay visible at the foot of the space, and artwork must stay inside the white parking lines. Tape will be available, and painting must be done during the set times.
The PTO may paint over any design it considers inappropriate, and those spots will not be refunded.
Mountain Home High School Principal Mary Beth Russell announced the fundraiser in a message to students. Seniors can reserve a spot and sign up by contacting the Mountain Home PTO on Facebook.
