Team 16, Baxter Bomb Squad, won the Arkansas Regional this weekend in Searcy, Arkansas.
They competed against 29 other teams from eight different states, finishing in the top four with an impressive record of 9-3-0 in the qualification rounds. The team was the first pick of the 2nd alliance, which included SCREAM Jr. (Sedalia, MO) and the Tuskin’ Raiders (Texarkana, AR).
The Bomb Squad’s excellent performance earned them a spot in the World Championship in Houston, Texas. Additionally, the team congratulates Emma Sanborn, their driver, for being one of the Arkansas Regional Dean’s List Finalists.
Lastly, the team received the Innovation in Control Award, highlighting their exceptional abilities in controlling their robot. The Bomb Squad’s next event is the Bayou regional in Kenner, Louisiana, from Mar. 29 to April 1.
