The Baxter County Library will kick off the new year with a new time for their very popular Babies & Books Story Time. Beginning in January 2023, Babies & Books will move from Mondays at 10:30am to Mondays at 9:30am. Babies & Books is a special time for parents and infants to interact with rhymes, action songs, puppets, and stories. It is designed for the developmental needs and attention spans of little ones from birth to 36 months.
All Story Times at the Library are designed to develop critical early literacy skills. Studies show that young children who experience books read aloud, have a better vocabulary and improved comprehension skills, the building blocks necessary to be ready to learn to read. Other Story Times offered at the Library include Toddler Time for children 1 to 3 years old on Tuesdays at 10:30am and Preschool Story Time on Wednesdays at 10:00am and 11:00am.
Story Times are held in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Children’s Library at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County located at 300 Library Hill, Mountain Home, AR. For more information on these and other Library programs, visit www.baxlib.org.
