The Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for its next class of inductees.
The hall honors Arkansans who have made significant contributions to agriculture, the state’s largest industry, and to its economic development. Since the first class was selected in 1987, 204 men and women have been inducted.
Anyone may nominate a candidate, according to Debbie Moreland, chair of the Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame. She said the hall was created to honor the men and women “who have played roles in strengthening agriculture across the Natural State.”
The nomination form asks for the main reason a candidate is being put forward, a summary of the nominee’s contributions to agriculture and their community, a record of their professional experience, and their public service and support of agriculture.
Forms are available online and can also be requested by calling 501-228-1609.
The induction ceremony for the next class is set for Thursday, March 4, 2027, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.
