Tastefully Simply, a direct selling company dedicated to bringing delicious, easily preparable food to your table is making its way to Mountain Home and surrounding areas.
Woman-owned and founded in Minnesota in 1995, Tastefully Simple, through their independent consultants, offers a mouth-watering array of seasonings, mixes, and meal kits packaged and shipped right here in the United States.
Bert Doeing, a faithful customer of Tastefully Simple for over 20 years, turned consultant for the company when she and her husband moved to Arkansas for retirement, and was unable to find a supplier within 50 miles of her new home in Norfork.
“I thought, wow, what a great way to get my product and meet people,” Doeing said.
Doeing notes that one of the biggest draws of Tastefully is that they provide clean, healthy products free of artificial color, sweetener, preservatives, or hydrogenated fats.
“Being clean, you use less and get more flavor,” said Doeing.
Speaking about one of the companies most popular seasonings, an onion powder aptly named “Onion Onion Seasoning”, Doeing said. “There’s four different dried onions in there. One tablespoon of Onion Onion equals six tablespoons of raw onion – because there’s no fillers.”
Tastefully Simple offers more than just seasonings and mixes though, they also offer meal kits that can be enjoyed in the moment or made ahead to freeze. Unlike other meal kits that send all the ingredients and put you on a time limit, Doeing says Tastefully Simple provides the flavor, recipe, and a grocery list so that you can make your meal on your own time, with your ingredients, your way.
According to Doeing, the versatile seasonings and sauces aren’t limited to Tastefully Simple recipes either – they enable you to use creativity and imagination while cooking.
For Doeing, one of the best parts of being a Tastefully Simple consultant is getting to meet people.
“I don’t sell, I share,” said Doeing. Offering fundraising for organizations and the option to throw tasting parties and an easy and fun way to throw a small soiree for your friends and family for any occasion, are just a few ways Doeing says people can experience Tastefully Simple.
As stated by Doeing, food brings people together and “who doesn’t like to eat?”
In addition to hosting at tasting parties, Doeing can be found connecting with people at vendor events and farmer’s markets and through her Facebook page, Bert’s Tastefully Simple, where her current and soon-to-be clients can order directly from her.
Doeing said she keeps a stock of product on hand for quick and efficient delivery to the area, including value packages and limited-edition products.
Because she believes deeply in the company, Doeing said she hopes to share more of Tastefully Simple’s extensive catalog and recruit more consultants to grow the brand’s presence in the Twin Lakes area. “I would love to grow it more because we all touch different lives,” she said.
