The North Central Arkansas Operation Christmas Child team will host a free public meet and greet, “To the Ends of the Earth,” on Saturday, July 11, at the Christian Church of Mountain Home.
The event begins at 11 a.m. at the church, 1365 Eastside Center Ct. Admission is free and open to the community.
Guests will receive a passport and boarding pass and travel through stops representing the places where shoebox gifts from the area are reaching children. Along the way, organizers will share information about unreached people groups and The Greatest Journey, the program’s follow-up discipleship course.
The gathering is also a chance to meet the local team members who serve the nine-county North Central Arkansas area. The event closes with a globally themed lunch and fellowship, and boarding passes will be entered into a drawing for door prizes.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of the relief organization Samaritan’s Purse. Each year it collects gift-filled shoeboxes and delivers them to children around the world.
Organizers ask guests to register in advance using the QR code on the event flyer or by calling Shari at 870-404-1030.
