Mountain Home Parks and Recreation has now opened team registrations for its community dodgeball tournament being held on Nov. 4th, 2023.
This tournament is free, however, teams will have the responsibility to turn in Christmas presents for their targeted MHPSD student/students. This year, Mountain Home Parks & Rec has partnered up with Mountain Home High School’s LT Thrift Store for this event.
Every year, the LT Thrift store has several kids in the district that are up for adoption. Last year the store reached almost 150 students with the help of local residents. All teams who sign up will be given a wish list and will need to submit their gifts as their “entry fee”.
This tournament is open for anyone 8 years or older. Parents can sign up and play with their children, businesses can sign up, church groups, etc. Games will be played 8 verses 8 and rosters can have up to 10 players for a team. All teams must have a Team Captain.
Team Captains need to be 18 years or older. Team Captains will be the person who registers their team online and will receive the information about brackets, gifts, game formats etc. Team Captains need to register their teams at: https://www.cityofmountainhome.com/upages.php?id=394
The deadline to enter is Oct. 20th at 10 a.m.
This will allow MHPR time to coordinate with Stephanie Caraway with the LT Thrift Store, and give Team Captains the wish list for their adopted student.
Mountain Home Parks & Recreation understands there may be people who want to help this cause but may not want or be able to play, and they encourage residents to reach out to Megan at 870-424-9311 for assistance in finding ways to help.
