The Red White & Blue Festival returns to the Arkansas State University-Mountain Home campus Friday and Saturday, packing two days with a rodeo, a parade, a 5K, live music and a fireworks show.
The festival runs June 26 and 27 at 1600 South College St. This year’s event is dedicated in honor of Peter and Jan Peitz, the philanthropic couple behind much of Baxter County’s charitable network. Peter Peitz, founder of the Peitz Cancer Support House, died in November 2024.
The weekend opens with a rodeo both nights at the Saddle Club Arena. Presented by Rand Rodeo Company, the 7:30 p.m. shows feature two nights of mutton bustin.
Saturday carries the bulk of the schedule. A 5K race presented by Pirate Perry Events starts the day, with registration at 6 a.m. and the run at 7 a.m. The Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce parade follows at 10 a.m. through downtown Mountain Home.
A kids zone and vendor area opens at 3 p.m. in the Dryer Hall parking lot, with local food, drinks and shopping. A cornhole tournament sponsored by GTS Physical Therapy begins at 6 p.m.
The evening builds toward a free concert headlined by Copper Flats, with special guest Austin Michael. The Mountain Home chapter of Military Service Sisters sponsors the show.
A live raffle drawing sponsored by Carter’s Jewel Chest precedes the night’s finale. Fireworks cap the festival at 9:30 p.m.
The concert sponsor also points ahead to a coming tribute. Military Service Sisters is raising a Female Veteran Memorial Statue at Mountain Home Veterans Plaza, with installation planned for summer 2027.
