Four members of the Reppell Diabetes Clinic staff have received Heroes with Halos awards from Baxter Health after a volunteer nominated them for the care they show the people they work with.
Jodi Bodenhamer, APRN, CDCES; Donna Love; Carrie Geier, BSN, RN, MSEd; and Geri Taylor, MSN, RN, were recognized by Baxter Health President and CEO Ron Peterson and members of the hospital’s leadership team.
The volunteer who nominated them wrote that the four are caring and supportive people and a joy to work for. “We have been having health issues and they are always making sure both of us, as well as all the other volunteers are okay and if we need anything,” the volunteer wrote. “They treat us all like family!”
Also on hand for the presentation were Brian Barnett, vice president of physician enterprise and business development; Nicole Vaccarella, vice president and general counsel; Tobias Pugsley, vice president of marketing and communications; Clinic Manager Jodi Moore; volunteer Jennifer Geier; and Sarah Edwards, executive director of the Baxter Health Foundation.
Heroes with Halos is a Baxter Health Foundation program that lets patients, families and coworkers honor a physician, employee, volunteer or department with a tax-deductible gift. Honorees receive a certificate presented by the CEO or a senior leader, along with a badge, and donors can direct their gift to healthcare scholarships, one of the hospital’s community support houses or the area of greatest need.
