The Baxter County Library invites all new moms, existing moms, and expecting moms to join in the Mom Walk and Talk every first and third Tuesday of the month at 9:00am on the ASUMH walking path.
The next Mom Walk and Talk will be Tuesday, April 19, 9:00am.
The program encourages moms to get together and discuss the ins and outs of parenthood and babies. What better way to learn about parenting than to get advice from existing moms on what they have experienced. But also to get some gentle exercise, fresh air, and hang out with the girls.
Walking outdoors has been proven to help with mental and physical well-being. The walks last about 30-45 minutes. The meeting place is the first ASUMH parking lot off of College St. on the right. After the walk, participants can choose to bring their little ones to the Library for Babies and Books Story Time, a special time for caregivers and infants to interact with rhymes, action songs, puppets, and stories.
This story time is designed for the developmental need and attention spans of little ones from birth to 36 months. Babies and Books Story Time takes place at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County every Tuesday, 10:30am.
