The Ozark Patriots will be hosting a meeting at Buncles Brickoven & Brews Monday evening at 6 p.m. The meeting will feature speeches from both Brandt Smith, U.S. District 1 candidate and Mark Lowery, Arkansas treasurer candidate.
Therapeutic Chair Yoga
March 14 @ 10:00 a.m.
Therapeutic chair yoga is a gentle stretching exercise for anyone, especially those with chronic back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia or other pain and movement issues. Poses are learned either sitting in a chair or standing holding on to a chair.
Exercise can improve your ability to complete normal activities of daily living, lower the risk of anxiety or depression, and improve your quality of life.
Yoga is a free class and open to all men and women. The class meets in the Peitz Cancer Support House Activity Room. As with starting any new exercise program, please consult your physician before beginning.
Cardio Kickboxing & Strength Training
March 14 @ 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 a.m.
The Schliemann Center for Women’s Health Education sponsors Cardio Kickboxing & Weight Training for women with Angie Bertel every Monday and Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Baxter Regional Wellness Education Center at 2545 Hwy 5 North.
Women who don’t exercise can lose anywhere from 3 to 8% of their muscle mass each decade due to inactivity. Studies show that strength training can promote bone development, reduce lower back pain, and reverse several skeletal muscle aging factors.
Kickboxing has become a popular sport because it provides a fantastic workout and challenges many of our senses and capacities.
If you want to feel better about your body, both in how it looks and performs, these sessions are for you!

Threads of Hope Creating Gifts for Cancer Patients – Peitz Cancer Support House

Do you like to knit or crochet? How about sewing or needlework, or quilting?
Would you like to learn how?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should join us at Threads of Hope at 1 pm on Monday afternoons.
This group offers lots of encouragement and support to one another as they spend time at their weekly meetings, and you just might learn a new stitch. Anyone with interest in any type of needlework is welcome to attend.
Threads of Hope provides different things to different people. For cancer survivors, you can learn a craft to help pass the time between or after treatments. For some, it provides a way to support others, even if you’re not a cancer survivor yourself. The group may make lap robes, prayers shawls, or caps that are distributed to those patients in treatment. For others, it provides a place to enjoy fun and companionship.

Join us for yoga!
Volunteer, Tony Khayat, will lead you through gentle exercises to promote fitness and flexibility. Relieve stress and tension, trim, shape, and tone the body with a regenercize workout. This class is suitable for both beginner and intermediate yoga practitioners.
Must be age 18 and older.
PLEASE REGISTER FOR EACH CLASS YOU WISH TO ATTEND.
In-person attendance is limited to 20 people. Masks optional, social distancing required.
A donation of $2-$5 is suggested to support the library next time you stop by.

All moms are invited to join us as we walk and talk about learning the ins and outs of parenthood and babies! Bring your strollers and get ready to meet new friends!
We will walk at ASUMH and walk on their new beautiful walking path and meet in the parking lot closest to the library. Please see the photo below. Walks will be weather permitting.

The staff takes necessary precautions to keep the area surfaces disinfected before and after distributing meals. This program collaborates with the North Central Arkansas Food Bank and the USDA.

Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap takes place in a newly established bed and breakfast, Monkswell Manor, outside London during a blizzard. There has been a murder nearby and the murderer is still free to carry out their further plans. As the guests arrive, everyone fits the murderer’s description and has a secret.
