The North Central Arkansas Veterans Council will sponsor its annual Memorial Day Commemoration at 11 a.m. May 25 at Veterans Plaza 2000.
VFW Post 3246 will host the event, with Kevin Hawks serving as master of ceremonies. State Rep. Stetson Painter will deliver the keynote address.
Dr. George Wolford will serve as chaplain. Raquel Houk will sing the national anthem, and an ensemble from the Mountain Home High School Band will provide music. KTLO Radio will provide sound for the ceremony and broadcast it live.
Participating veterans organizations will present the colors, with honors by the Alley White American Legion Post 52 Honor Guard.
Cupcakes and coffee will be served at VFW Post 3246 immediately following the ceremony.
In the event of severe weather, including a tornado warning or heavy rain, the ceremony will move to VFW Post 3246 just off the Square in Mountain Home. KTLO Radio will announce any change in location.
