WoW Gifts donated $5,442.72 to IGY6 K9’s Wednesday to help raise funds to help veterans and their service dogs receive the training needed to live an independent lifestyle after returning home from war.
The IGY6 Foundation is a popular veteran non-profit that focuses on helping veterans and first responders with recovering from PTSD. IGY6 is an abbreviation for the term “I got your six” and is regularly worn as a tattoo by many active and former service members to show support for those struggling with the cost of service.
PTSD is one of the biggest killers of veterans after returning home from war, and roughly 22 veterans commit suicide each day because of their PTSD.
“We at WoW Gifts would like to thank everyone for coming to show love and support today and during our fundraiser for IGY6 K9,” said WoW Gifts in a statement to the Mountain Home Observer. “We are very proud to announce that we were able to raise $5,443.72! To everyone that helped and or donated, this would not have been possible without you. We truly feel that the IGY6 K9s nonprofit is amazing and are helping many veterans to succeed in their daily lives with the excellent training of these service dogs.”
