Mountain Home High School will honor military veterans and active-duty service members with its annual “Freedom Isn’t Free” ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the Dunbar Auditorium.
The 45-minute ceremony will feature a presentation of colors by the Mountain Home NJROTC unit, honoring service members from all branches of the United States Armed Forces.
State Rep. Jason Nazarenko, R-District 4, will serve as guest speaker. Nazarenko, in his first term representing portions of Marion and Baxter counties, will share reflections on service, sacrifice and the meaning of Veterans Day.
The high school ceremony is scheduled to allow veterans and guests time to attend the community’s Veterans Day ceremony at the downtown plaza afterward.
“Freedom Isn’t Free” has become a cherished tradition at Mountain Home High School, bringing students, staff and community members together to recognize the courage and dedication of those who have served the nation, according to event organizers.
All veterans in the community are invited to attend the ceremony, which runs approximately 45 minutes.
